Kwagala Moreen Winnie was discovered all alone hiding in a church during the Covid-19 lockdown. She told us that she has no parents and that she lost her grandmother who was taking care of her, which is why she decided to stay at church. Moreen is so loving. She dreams of becoming a teacher!

Moreen had surgery for fibroadenoma breast tumors and is home now, recovering well.
Her medical bill is paid in full, and this campaign is complete. Thank you to all of Moreen’s heroes who made this happen.
What comes next
Two boys, aged 7 and 11, are still waiting for sponsors. They are the last two Desire children without one.
Thirteen children are out of school right now. They have sponsors, but school fees rise every year and sponsorship has not kept pace. The shortfall is what keeps them home.
Once the two boys are sponsored and all thirteen are back in class, everything given beyond that goes into a reserve, so the next emergency does not have to become a campaign.
