Moreen’s surgery
Moreen is fifteen. She has fibroadenoma breast tumors, and the pain of them does not let up, not in the day and not at night.
Surgery takes the tumors out. The operation and the care she needs afterward come to $2,000 altogether.

The Emergency Reserve.
Desire Child Care Organization has a plan for self-sufficiency through agriculture, which means only a temporary leg up is required to provide a smooth runway toward achieving our goal.
Our Emergency Reserve helps us bridge the gaps in everything from food emergencies, school fees and supplies, as well as healthcare and hygiene.
It is also our reserve for medical and other unforeseen emergencies, so that we no longer have to put out calls for urgent support when a crisis arrives.

The Amazzi Clean Water Campaign
$35 buys 200 litres, about 53 gallons, of clean drinking water. Enough to supply all 33 kids for a whole month.
Since this campaign began, we have eliminated all cases of typhoid in our family.
Four acres of farmland
Land of our own, so that we can grow our own food, sustain the children, and sell produce as a means of income for the organization.

Sponsorship covers a child’s everyday needs. This is for the days that ask for something more: a birthday, a holiday, a milestone, any occasion where a little extra would mean the world.
